Babysitters:  Pioneer requires a number of babysitters to help with the toddlers and children of staff. Babysitters must be 14 or older and have some experience working with children.

Drivers: We need many mature drivers each summer to deliver and pick up out-trips, deliver mail, and drive to town. Valid G,F,C or B licence and good driving record required.

Food Services: Each kitchen is run by a head cook with one assistant and four to six food service volunteers. Work involves food preparation, serving meals, and washing dishes. The kitchen staff work long hard hours to prepare our food. Assistant cooks receive remuneration based on experience. Food service workers can receive the regular staff honorarium of $40 per week.

Housekeeping: We require a team of hard workers each week for a variety of housekeeping duties, primarily keeping our washrooms and public/meeting areas clean and tidy.

Maintenance: Pioneer needs volunteers to work on our maintenance team each summer to assist in any number of projects. Although no experience is required, it is helpful if you have some woodworking, electrical, mechanical or plumbing skills.

Medical Staff: Pioneer requires both nurses and doctors. We are looking for one nurse per site who could come for the full 10-week period. We are also looking for a second nurse per site, who would be able to come for at least one or two weeks. A stipend is offered for all nursing positions. Responsibilities include caring for campers and staff as well as keeping a log of accidents and treatments. During the summer we always require one doctor to service all of the sites. This is usually accomplished by each doctor committing to a period of one or two weeks.

Office Staff: We require one full-time office person at each site during the summer. A stipend is offered for this position if they can be at camp for the entire summer. Volunteers who can give a week or two of their time are also needed. The office responsibilities include: administrating opening and closing days, running the Tuck Shop, maintaining staff and camper accounts, as well as assisting in various administrative tasks.
