| The Horsemanship Program! |

Horsemanship Program The Horsemanship Program is offered in the Adventure Camp and Girls' Camp sessions throughout the summer. Campers who choose this program will be working with horses each day, growing in confidence and ability as they progress.
The campers learn how to be confident and will be assigned a level based on their riding experience. They will master skills such as making the horse move forward, turning in a circle, stopping and backing up. They also get to experience trail rides. The horsemanship staff are knowledgeable and are available to give the campers one-on-one support and instruction while they are in the activity with their group. As you progress in your skills you will be structured into five “star” levels. Campers start in the first star level and can progress through all five. The camper’s spend time on their horses every day, learning and practicing on-horse skills. They will also participate in “Horse Sense” training where they learn about horses and horsemanship. The campers are scored and the results are announced before the camper leaves on Saturday morning. Each camper receives a certificate stating what level of completion they achieved. Campers will achieve bronze, silver or gold standing in their star level. We are partnering with Woodridge Riding Centre in Port Sydney (15 minute drive) to offer the horseback option for all our regular sessions this summer. Simply choose your regular session (Adventure Camp, Girls Camp) and then also sign up for the Horsemanship session offered at the same time. Additional fees apply. Horsemanship is not available for 5 and 6 year olds. If you have any questions, please contact our office at 1-800-361-CAMP (2267) or by This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
