Leaders in Training (LIT) is a co-ed program designed to challenge and facilitate the personal development of young people who want to learn about Christian leadership and trains them to serve as Christian leaders at camp and in their home, school, and church communities.
The first two weeks of the program are an intensive time of learning and development. You’ll be given many hands-on opportunities to develop your skills and leadership abilities, to grow in your faith, and to take part in a challenging 4 day out-trip! During this training period you will be guided and mentored by our staff, selected as models of Christian servant leaders, as they help you explore and reach the potential of who you were created to be.
In the second half of LIT you will put your learning and skills to the test as you join one of our staff teams in serving and leading our renowned camps! Whether it’s the thrill of navigating rapids on an out-trip, the satisfaction of making a camper's day, or the lifelong memories made with friends, the challenges and rewards of LIT are second to none!
For those applying for the LIT Program, please note that the online registration form is only the first step in the LIT selection process. The full supplementary application including autobiography and short answer questions, as well as the spiritual reference and character reference must be submitted before being considered for an interview. Not all applicants will receive an interview. Suitable candidates will be notified if they are being interviewed when all of their references and application have been received. Because of limited spaces, all paperwork must be complete by January 31st and a place will not be reserved in specific LIT sessions until acceptance to the program is confirmed. Candidates will be notified about accepted to the program on February 7th. Based upon applications received, there may be a secondary intake of applications. Steps
