Page 1 of 2 *Note that Woodland begins Saturday afternoon July 20, 2013!If you’re looking to be challenged on an incredible adventure and still get the full Pioneer experience, then Woodland Challenge may be the program for you! Woodland Challenge is a four-week co-ed program for campers who have completed Grade 9. It’s designed with small numbers in mind to foster a more intense program and encourage greater community involvement. The structure is one of the reasons many ‘Woodlanders’ leave having made friends for life. Whether out-tripping, mountain biking, or asking life’s tough questions in Bible Study, every activity at Woodland Challenge is designed to give you the opportunity to be challenged and to grow – socially, physically, mentally, and spiritually into a deeper understanding of and relationship with God. The 10 day wilderness adventure is Pioneers’ longest and most diverse canoe trip, and each route is designed to meet the needs and skills of each camper. Our experienced tripping leaders will teach you the skills and techniques necessary for safe travel through the rugged wilderness while also focusing on the environmental stewardship of God’s creation. Back at camp you will get to do all the activities Pioneer is known for, plus a few unique ones including overnight hikes, sleeping under the stars, and white-water kayaking. You also have the opportunity to earn an ORCA canoeing level and a Life Saving Society Bronze certificate in swimming. In addition, each day brings the opportunity to explore faith in a small group format, where you can ask tough questions and explore the person that God created you to be and the difference He can make in your life. With so many incredible adventures and memories waiting for you, the only question that remains is, ‘Are you ready?’ Recommended Qualifications:
